Six Matches, Two World Titles on the Line as WWE Arrives in Turin
WWE's Clash in Italy premium live event takes place Sunday at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, with four championship matches scheduled across the card. American viewers can watch on ESPN Unlimited beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The event continues WWE's pattern of staging its annual European Clash event in a different city each year, following Paris in 2025 and Glasgow, Scotland, in 2024.
Both the Undisputed WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship are contested on the night. Cody Rhodes enters his third reign as Undisputed WWE Champion, having won the title from Drew McIntyre earlier in 2026 and defended it against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42. His opponent, Gunther, secured the No. 1 contendership by defeating Royce Keys after Paul Heyman cashed in a previously held favor on SmackDown. The two have been in open conflict since, and Gunther, who has been without championship gold for a sustained period and has retired two established WWE performers during his current run, is positioned as a credible threat to end Rhodes's reign.
In the World Heavyweight Championship match, Roman Reigns defends against Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat stipulation - a match format historically contested exclusively among members of The Bloodline, the Anoa'i wrestling dynasty. Reigns has won Tribal Combat matches against Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa. He retained the title against Fatu at Backlash, but Fatu has continued to pursue him and issued the Tribal Combat challenge. The hardcore format guarantees an unpredictable contest.
The WWE Women's Championship is also on the line when Rhea Ripley faces Jade Cargill in a rematch of their WrestleMania 42 bout, where Ripley won the title from Cargill. The feud originated with Ripley's victory in the Women's Elimination Chamber match. Cargill subsequently pinned Ripley at Saturday Night's Main Event on May 23, 2026, at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and enters Turin with momentum. Ripley nonetheless carries the championship advantage and ring experience at major events.
The Women's Intercontinental Championship match between Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca was not originally planned. Lynch was disqualified at Saturday Night's Main Event, and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis used that outcome to compel her into a title defense against Ruca, a performer who has risen through NXT and is making her most prominent main-roster challenge to date. Lynch enters the match having publicly dismissed Ruca's credentials, a dynamic that has sharpened the stakes heading into Turin.
The final title bout on the card pairs Brock Lesnar against Oba Femi for the second time in 2026. Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 in what appeared to be a farewell appearance for Lesnar - he left his boots and gloves in the ring in Las Vegas while Paul Heyman watched on. Lesnar returned on Monday Night Raw and attacked Femi with four F-5s before Femi could conduct an open challenge, formally establishing the rematch. Should Lesnar win, a third match between the two later in the summer would be a logical next step.
