Thekla retains AEW Women's World title in four-way match at Double or Nothing
Thekla defended her AEW Women's World Championship in a four-way match at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2026, in Queens, New York. She defeated Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida to secure the victory.
The match opened with Hayter, Statlander and Shida attacking Thekla simultaneously. Statlander and Shida later turned on each other after Shida used a kendo stick to break up a pin attempt and struck her partner. Thekla remained outside the main exchanges until Hayter and Shida collided on the floor while attempting simultaneous clotheslines.
Thekla then entered the ring alone with Statlander and delivered a stomp to secure the pinfall. The Austrian wrestler captured the title from Statlander on Dynamite in February and has now completed six successful defenses.
Following the event, Thekla stated she is monitoring the Owen Hart Women's Tournament and selected her Triangle of Madness teammate Skye Blue as the likely winner.
