Price's Chest Injury Flares Up, Deepens Seahawks' Backfield Crisis

The Seattle Seahawks ruled out rookie running back Jadarian Price for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers after he re-aggravated a chest injury, head coach Mike Macdonald announced Friday. Price originally sustained the injury during Seattle's Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The setback leaves Seattle's running back room further depleted heading into the Chargers matchup, which kicks off at 4:25 p.m. Veteran Zach Charbonnet remains sidelined on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered in last season's NFC Divisional Round. Charbonnet returned to practice Thursday, but league rules require him to miss at least four games, including this weekend's contest. biathlon gambling

Price, the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, was brought in to help replace Kenneth Walker III, last season's Super Bowl MVP who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. Through three games, Price had rushed for 119 yards on 28 carries without finding the end zone, and he lost a fumble in last week's 33-31 loss to the Washington Commanders.

With Price and Charbonnet both unavailable, Emmanuel Wilson and George Holani are set to handle the bulk of Seattle's ground-game duties against the Chargers. The Seahawks will look to bounce back from last week's defeat as their running back depth continues to be tested through the early weeks of the season.
